If you're looking for a stylish new design hotel, check out this five-room converted maison particulier that opened last summer in Montmartre, with artist-designed spaces like the "Curtain of hair" room by artist and photographer Natacha Lesueur.
At Hotel Particulier Montmartre, you can find one-of-a-kind decor in suites like Martine Aballéa's "chambre végétale," above, or "Tree with ears," below, designed by Pierre Fichefeux, a young illustrator and art director.
All this is made more surprising by the classic Directoire-style facade, tucked away on a secret passageway in the heart of historic Montmartre. Check out the website for more photos of the common spaces and the garden.
