Feliway by Comfort Zone

Feliway by Comfort Zone

Meet Bird. We love him so but he can be one fussy jerk. When our roommate moved out and there was a temporary upheaval of furnishings, Bird let his annoyance be known by opting out of his litter box. Jump down to see which product we turned to and, all urine aside, which other bad behaviors it can help...

Our vet recommended we look into Feliway by Comfort Zone. When cats rub their faces on furniture, doorways, and you, they're marking their territory. Feliway, available in a plug-in diffuser or spray, mimics this same facial pheromone and puts your cat at ease.

Feliway not only helps out with urine marking but it's also good for furniture scratching, aggression with other animals or people, and new environments. The diffuser, which we tested, is the better option for ingraining better behavior in the long-term. The spray should be used for quick fixes, like spraying your car before taking your pet to the vet.

Our experience with Feliway is that it works. Bird has fewer "accidents" (although he's still sensitive to a dirty box), gets along better with our other cat, and is generally more affectionate. Feliway isn't cheap but we will definitely turn to it again in future stressful times, especially after we found coupons!
