When John Hardy sold his luxury jewelry company, he and his wife, Cynthia got to work setting up the Green School in Bali, where they've lived for 30 years. Using bamboo, mud walls, and local grass, the sustainable structure opened in September for students aged pre-school through grade 8.
The curriculum teaches students traditional subjects like math and science, but also places focus on the arts and eco-friendly practices. In addition, they provide scholarships to local students in need.
