Small narrow room, super tall ceiling. Foregoing the obvious (low furniture, using the walls to build shelving or even hanging a chandelier to draw attention to the ceiling), Tom Scheerer plays with the scale of the room and goes for a magnificent, tall bed. Rather than be claustrophic, the effect is majestic.
It reminds us that sometimes breaking the rules for small rooms -- or any rooms -- can have the most dramatic and pleasing effect. What do you think? What would you have done?
