Look! Snail Planter!

Normally people spend a lot of time and energy guarding their gardens against snails but the other day we saw this ingenious way to incorporate snails into the garden. Not only is it a great small space garden, but it also takes advantage of vertical space:

We spotted it over at kellygreen (where we also saw these eco-friendly pots. A tiny climbing vine was planted in an empty snail shell, hung on a little chain letting the vine grow and curl up the chain. We're not sure what vine this is, but we'd love to see a sweet little sweet pea vine planted and flowering above a small home office, or even in the kitchen.
