Matching An Accent Wall with One Piece of Furniture

Confession: The concept of painting an accent wall is sort of difficult for us. For some reason, our visualization of an accent wall looks more like an unfinished paint job rather than a bold decor statement. However, after contemplating this photo, we're guessing that maybe we just didn't know how to include the wall color into the room...

Well, here's one way to do it: if you decide to paint a wall an offbeat color (like this pale lavender shade), you can tie it in by matching it perfectly with one piece of furniture, like this ottoman/coffee table. You can also create more visual interest with throw pillows and mix textures like linen, velvet, and seagrass.
