The Rey Chair from Dietiker was one of our favorite items at this years NeoCon. Colorful, well crafted, stackable and sturdy, it wasn't a surprise that this design has stood the test of time. We asked if it was available... retail, but alas, for now it is being marketed to the the trade for commercial applications as Dietiker rolls out their new showrooms in North America. The good news is that we heard that they are in talks with DWR, who may carry the Rey chair in the future - we hope so.

We chatted for a bit with the head of Dietiker, Urs Feiber, who told us a bit about the history of the chair (designed by Bruno Rey in 1971) and that it is used frequently all over Europe in restaurants and schools. They simply last and last without needing replacement even in high traffic areas such as fast food shops.
