Old Phone Works: Colorful Refurbished Phones

Despite the current emphasis on living and buying green, when it comes down to it, we live in a throw-away society. Most massed produced items are manufactured to have intentionally short life spans, so that there is a constant demand for new objects. It's very refreshing when we discover a company that specializes in refurbishing, instead of replacing, a specific object…

Old Phone Works was founded on the premise that older phones were designed and manufactured to a much higher quality standard than today's phones. This was due to the fact that phone companies used to own phones and just lend them to subscribers; it was in their best interest for their phones to live a long life.

So, if you still actually have a land line and you can give up the cordless capability, then check out the phones from Old Phone Works. Imagine actually sitting in a chair tethered to your phone with the conversation being the only thing you're focused on…how quaint.

Do any of you still use a corded land line?
