Bring together architects, designers and technologists, allow each to present 20 images, with each image advancing after only 20 seconds and what do you get? Highly concise, highly interesting presentations on a range of topics — all over cocktails!
The designer meet-up that's sweeping the planet is happening tonight...
Japanese for "the sound of conversation," Pecha Kucha was started in 2003 and has spread virally to more than 100 cities all over the globe. In an effort to avoid the endless digression of most designer presentations, Pecha Kucha's patented system of 6 minute, 40 second slideshows allows more designers to share their work in a single evening and forces each designer to critically hone what it is they want to share.
Tonight, Pecha Kucha is being hosted by AIGA (The Professional Association for Design) and the Boston Society of Architects/AIA, it is free and open to the public. Doors open at 6:30 for drinks and chit chat and the talks begin at 7:15 at Mantra.
