There is nothing nicer than a thin HDTV, one that looks like a window that's been grafted to your wall. Panels are getting thinner and thinner, making them easier to mount on walls. The Philips Essence HDTV is a panel that's only 38 millimeters thick. It has a 100Hz display and provides a mere 2 millisecond response time. The panel only weighs 36 pounds, making it ideal for wall mounting. It even includes a self-leveling tool, so you won't need all those extra tools from your local hardware store.

The Philips Essence features a minimalist design with a 21mm bezel. It's back is completely flat. There is only one cable to connect it to the base unit, which is really nice. They've included a 13.1-foot long cord, which is good enough to make all of the cables disappear out of sight. It also includes a detachable SoundBar that houses two 15W speakers. It hasn't yet been announced for the US market, but this looks like one slick HDTV.
