Readers' Rooms: Christian and Michela's Rooftop Garden

Hello Apartment Therapy, I thought I'd share with you our particular rooftop garden as the summer is quickly approaching. We don't have the luxury of a yard, but we do have a nice back patio and the benefit of a very long series of sheds with a shallow graded roof. Being only around 7 feet high, the shed is easily accesible by some wooden stairs I've fashioned from a ladder...

...We have various lettuce, snap peas, zucchinis of several varieties, japanese cucumbers, cantaloupe, rhubarb, several various tomato plants, raspberries, a range of herbs and a dwarf valencia orange tree. As my wife is italian, from the north-western mountains of italy and comes from a family that keeps a couple of pieces of land with hundreds of fruit trees and vegetables - our small garden makes up for a little of what was lost in our recent move back to the states!

Thanks, Christian and Michela!
