Heather Garrett Design is a beautiful and inspiring store located in downtown Durham, North Carolina. Heather moved into the space last August and originally planned to use it only as a design showroom for clients with appointments. In response to the heavy foot traffic and enthusiastic client response, Heather soon opened a retail store. The store stocks Oly and Roost, and carries handmade pillows from Kevin O'Brien, Emdee, and Bliss, Pip-Squeak Chapeau knit gifts, and Aquiesse candles...

Heather Garrett Design also carries original artwork and Chinese and French antiques.

Apart from the products, the store itself is an interesting space. The building was the first on the block and built in 1883. When renovating it, Heather uncovered the original oak floors and tin ceiling. She removed old drywall to reveal original brick and raised some additional walls. Heather had been working as a designer in Durham for 7 years before opening the store.
