When Alyssa and her husband moved in to their Echo Park home seven years ago, they were happy to see a lot of the original details from the 1940s bungalow intact, like this blue tile in the bathroom. When Alyssa first moved in she says she, "painted the bathroom walls a navy blue to try to tone down the cuteness", which ended up making the space feel small and stuffy. Round 2 involved a fresh coat of white paint and a large mirror above the tub to make the space feel more open and bright.
