We all know that the right lighting can make a huge impact in a room. While traditionally this has meant floor lamps, wall sconces, and overhead lighting, we have seen that it can also include wallpaper and now textiles are entering the lighting arena as well.
Kathy Schicker is a Londond based textile designer that has brought traditional looking fabrics into the realm of high tech. One series of fabrics begin as white and change color only when exposed to sunlight. The other series of fabrics glow in the dark and expose hidden patterns that were not otherwise visible. An interesting concept no doubt, but you will really need to consider how to coordinate these dynamic colors with your current static wall and furniture scheme.
