5 Things I Liked in My Girlfriend's La Redoute Catalog

I think we actually stopped receiving the printed version of the La Redoute catalog, but for awhile there my better half was regularly purchasing clothing from the French retailer because of their European fit and classic styles (she's remarked their styles have gone astray toward "too trendy" the last few seasons). Although I myself am not too fond of their men's selection of clothing, I've noted that their online catalog has some stylish home wares and furnishings that are very Elle Decor inspired (European editions, of course) and I do actually enjoy window-catalog shopping for fun. Here I've listed 5 things that I found interesting or to my liking from their recent selection...

Creation Buffet: like the spare and curvilinear form, but actually would like one of these for my small home office to store away office supplies. Also like the fact that it could easily be painted or adorned with additional details because of its minimal form and finish.

Safe Storage: I don't have an attic to call my own, but these would be an efficient use of storage space in a slanted ceiling space. The addition of the casters for easy movement make these extremely useful.

Bureau style contemporain: I'm on the fence about this one. I liked it at first glance, but now I think those legs remind me when fawn are first born and have problems straightening their legs. Pull those off and add some straight narrow cylindrical legs or wall mount these without the legs.

Fauteuil rocking chair: A Scandanavian style rocking chair...simple and inviting. A chair we imagine talking with friends while sitting in and leaning forward to listen in closer or to share a laugh.

Two Door, 2 Drawer Buffet: Once again, my mind drifts away from using this in the dining room and instead transferring it over to the living room as a media console. The only question is whether the components could fit inside the buffet (and we'd have to make air vents in the back for air flow). Would look nice with the rocker above.

Now pardon me while I window shop in a different department on the La Redoute site of equal interest.
