The Fixer Upper family just got a little bit bigger! Our favorite Texas family just welcomed their fifth child together. Chip and Joanna Gaines son was born today and he’s already a part of the coolest family in the house-flipping business.

The Gaines family was already six strong until baby number 5 and now baby makes 7! Previously, the handy parents had two sons and two daughters, but now the boys outrank the girls. Chip and Joanna’s eldest children are Drake, 13, Ella, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 8.

Chip announced the news that every Fixer Upper fan has been waiting for on June 23, 2018. On Twitter, the proud dad shared the happy news.

And then there were 5.. The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief

Less than two weeks ago, Joanna shared photos from the book-themed baby shower that her friends and family threw for her. Based on the pictures, it is pretty clear her friends know her exact sense of style! We wish we’d gotten an invite to that party.

In January 2018, Chip revealed that he and Joanna were expecting another child together. He even joked on Twitter as to why another baby would be joining their brood.

“You might recall a few months back.. the ever amazing, ever romantic @JOHNNYSWIM was in Waco. And they put on a little too romantic of a concert.. anyways, one thing led to another, & we are officially pregnant. And I could not be more EXCITED! #5 #7ThePerfectNumber.”

Now that Fixer Upper has officially finished, Chip and Joanna have a little more free time to spend with their children. Chip and Joanna are very family-focused and have always included their children in all of their projects. We cannot wait to see what the new baby gets to help his mom and dad out with!

No name for the newborn has been revealed – yet. What do you think they named baby number five? If their eldest son’s names are anything to go by, then we can expect their third son to have a D-name, like his older brothers do.
