What would happen if you combined a ring with a mouse? That's not something that you would usually ask yourself, but in the field of input devices, engineers and designers are always trying to come up with new ways of interacting with computers. The Ring Mouse is one of the latest creations. It's a small mouse that you put on your index finger.

Once you have the Ring Mouse on your finger, you can control the cursor by using a small trackball. This setup works like a normal mouse. Right and left clicks are available, as well as a scroll button. That's a lot of features in a small package. It's reported that it takes a while to get used to it, but it's a great way to use your computer and laptop. For now, a corded version is available, but there are plans to create a cordless version. Now that would be really nifty.

Needless to say that something cordless like this would also make a great way to control your media PC. A lot of people find having a mouse and keyboard in the living room annoying. That's where this product comes in. It's extremely small and discreet, making it very useful. The Ring Mouse is an optical mouse. It's made by Urban Factory. Strangely enough, the USB connector is bigger than the actual mouse, making your realize how small this little gizmo actually is. [via TrendsNow]
